Merrimac Elementary School students in Sachem were in the Valentine’s Day spirit and wrote out cards to be distributed to the veterans at the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook. All grade levels participated and created a total of 250 valentines to share with the veterans.

The activity was the culmination of the weeklong celebration for P.S. I Love You Day. It supported this year’s theme, “Love is Meant to be Given.”
