In honor of Black History Month, members of the Rho Kappa National History Honor Society and History Club at Sachem High School East created a display celebrating the accomplishments of various African Americans. The theme of this year’s project was “African Americans and the Arts.” Students selected individuals, including Ralph Ellison, Alicia Keys and Billie Holiday, and created a poster to represent their achievements. The posters were then hung up in the building’s social studies hallway to create a gallery walk.
