Creative rock stars in Lauren Gonzalez’s studio art class explored what is needed to successfully learn through a community mural and how to inspire and create to be a part of a community.

After honing in on each student’s unique voice and inner nature through the creation of a “zine,” students joined together to discuss overarching themes conducive to a positive learning environment that is inclusive for all. The larger-than-life skills and character traits identified by the students were determined through a series of mindfulness and meditation practices and will be displayed as a reminder for all to see.
