Borrowing ebooks while school is closed:

You can still read and borrow ebooks from Sachem HS North Library. We have e-books from our book vendors, Follett, Mackin and Junior Library Guild. The directions are slightly different for each. 

Follett ebooks, e-audio books & Lightbox interactive books:

Click on this link and scroll down.

When you get to the e-books, e-audio books or the Lightbox Interactive books, select ‘See All’ in the upper right corner. 

Scroll through the titles. Click on a title. Log in with your computer login info. Your username and your Sachem school ID will be needed.

Using MackinVIA ebooks:

Click on this link: and sign in with your school name and then use the following for the username and the password: snhs

Browse through the different and click the green OPEN button. These can only be read online, not able to be downloaded at this time.)

Junior Library Guild

Suffolk County Temporary Public Library Cards!
If students or staff (who are Suffolk County residents) do not have a library card, you can sign up for a temporary card number. Don't have a library card? Or maybe you have misplaced yours?  No problem. Sign up for a temporary card number that will give you access to all the library's online resources for up to 90 days.  Click here to get access now:

Once you have your temporary card number, you will be able to download FREE books  and take a FREE online class using or browse a magazine using Flipster.

New York Public Library
We know the Library is a critical resource for New Yorkers of all ages.  All New York residents can apply for a New York Public Library card through SimplyE to gain access to an array of digital resources, including e-books and audiobooks, as well as databases available from home during our period of closure. After registering, it may take a few hours to receive your barcode in order to access the Library’s digital resources. You can also find your library card number by logging into your library account with your SimplyE username and pin. The 14 digit library card number is displayed underneath your name.
