At the Nov. 6 meeting of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education, administrators, staff and students gave an engaging presentation on social and emotional learning and the ways it is being implemented through progressive districtwide activities and initiatives. 

Lynwood Elementary School Principal Danielle DeLorenzo provided a look into how SEL is incorporated on the elementary level, Jonathan Chiaramonte shared an update on the peer education programs at the high school level, and the Director for Physical Education, Athletics, and Health Services Gary Beutel and Administrator for Physical Education Shannon McEntee spoke about how SEL is being integrated into health and physical education classes.
