Sachem North boys volleyball has not lost a match in Suffolk County since November 2017.

Though the team was pushed to the brink in five sets against Smithtown West in this year’s Suffolk County championship, the Flaming Arrows finished strong and captured another county title.

Sachem is 17-0 this season and will face the winner of Nassau County’s Class A final in the Long Island championship on Nov. 19 at Farmingdale State College. It will play either Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK or Massapequa.

Prior to the county final, Sachem had only lost three sets this season.

The team is looking to defend its Long Island crown and win another state title after finishing as runners-up last season.
