All season the Flaming Arrows have been consistently turning in very strong marching band performances across Long Island. And there was something special brewing leading up to the New York State Field Band Championship Show in Syracuse on Sunday, Oct. 27.

Sachem outperformed the competition and captured a New York State Marching Band championship, finishing the season on top. The Flaming Arrows turned in a performance good enough for an 85.550 score, beating out Greece (83.550) and Hicksville (82.600) for top honors.

Sachem’s marching band continues to uphold the tradition of excellence it has performed with for decades.
