On April 3, the Sachem Central School District Board of Education recognized a collection of extraordinary athletic teams which excelled in their respective sports during the winter season.

Teams honored included the Sachem High School North Arrowette team who secured a National Dance Alliance national title for team performance, a small varsity jazz national championship and an award for technical excellence. Also, the Sachem High School North cheerleaders were named Suffolk County champions and also won the first state championship in program history. The Sachem High School East varsity wrestling team won the League I Dual Championship and the League I Tournament Championship before going on to finish first as the Section XI Duals Champion. 

In addition to the impressive team accomplishments, numerous students were also recognized for receiving All-League, All-County or All-State honors.
