Students and staff across Wenonah Elementary School have recently begun their celebration of Autism Acceptance Month through a collection of enlightening activities and events to educate and raise awareness of autism.

Each week, speech language pathologist Bella Eccleston has shared a video read-aloud of a book that focuses on autism acceptance, kindness and celebrating the unique qualities in ourselves and others. This week, the students enjoyed “Spoon” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. Teachers then utilized the activities provided and put their own unique twist on them to share these important ideas with their students.
