Students at Nokomis Elementary School in Danielle Neimeth’s second grade class recently explored weather as part of a unit utilizing technology to create graphic organizers to showcase their newfound knowledge.
As part of the unit on weather, students worked with technology integration specialist Claudia Camassa using Google Meet learn how to use Jamboard to created graphic organizers to share information they know about weather. In addition, students asked questions to expand their knowledge on the subject. Some of the questions asked included: What is the difference between cloudy and partly cloudy? Why are trees bare in the winter? How does a tornado form?
As the unit progresses, the questions students asked will be highlighted to expand their knowledge on the subject.
