Sachem High School North students Samantha Cocchi and Gianna Familette were presented with a SCOPE award for Academic Growth and Student Leadership in Learning.

Samantha was selected due to her outstanding leadership skills in coordinating school events including the Festival of Trees and Lights and the Leo’s Club holiday toy drive. Additionally, she holds leadership roles in several school clubs and activities such as the Mentoring Club, Leo’s Club and the Information Distribution Club.

Gianna was selected due to her tremendous personal growth throughout her high school career and leadership in outside work experiences. She is a hard worker, avid reader and dancer with many strong goals for her future. Gianna looks forward to attending college in the fall.
