Tamarac Students Shine in Math Competitions

Fourth and fifth grade students at Tamarac Elementary School recently demonstrated their mathematical talent in both the Math Olympiads and the Virtual Suffolk County Math Tournament.

Tamarac’s team placed 12th overall in the countywide virtual tournament, an impressive achievement that reflects their strong analytical skills and teamwork. In the Math Olympiads, several students earned recognition for their outstanding performance, receiving patches and medals based on their overall scores.

This year’s Math Olympians included Tyler Alvich, Amelia Bouchelle, Sal Ceparano, Declan Collins, Vivienne Comeno, Nicola DeSantis, Jason Felice, Jeremiah Genova, Brody Grossweiler, Clifford Marrone, Leo Pinto, Dean Plantamura, Henry Ruthaiwattana, Quinn Saposnick and Colin Taylor.

Patch recipients, who scored within the top 50%, were Jason, Vivienne, Clifford, Sal, Brody, Quinn and Dean. A special congratulations goes to Henry, who placed in the top 20% and earned both a patch and a medal.

Tamarac is proud of all participating students for their hard work.
