Students at Waverly Elementary School are honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as part of the district’s celebration of Black History Month. Kindergarteners in Mrs. Mergott’s class created a hallway display of Dr. King. They learned that “good character is found in the heart” and wrote down ways they can follow Dr. King’s teachings and carry on his legacy.
