At the Oct. 25 meeting of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education, trustees were thanked for their dedication and volunteer efforts to better the Sachem school community.

“The Board of Education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our communities by overseeing and improving our educational systems,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Christopher Pellettieri said. “The dedication in ensuring quality education and equal opportunities for all students is deeply appreciated. We thank the Board of Education for their tireless efforts in nurturing the minds of our youth and fostering a brighter tomorrow.”

In honor of School Board Recognition Week, several organizations including the Sachem Central Teachers’ Association, Sachem Administrators’ Association, Sachem Supervisors Association, Parent Teacher Association, United Public Service Employees Union – Clerical, and Sachem Nurses Association, all took time to address the Board. These organizations each made donations in the name of the Sachem Board of Education to local nonprofits and upcoming district events as way to thank the Board for their many contributions.

Following the recognition of the Board, several teachers and teacher assistants were granted tenure. District administrators thanked these staff members for their dedication to teaching and congratulated them on this milestone in their careers. Congratulations to the following:

Dani Ackerman – Waverly, Speech
