Elementary school students across the Sachem Central School District showed their appreciation for first responders during several parades and ceremonies. Many of the district’s schools invited first responders to the building for celebrations including police officers, firefighters, sheriff’s deputies, doctors and nurses.

Students lined the bus circles of their buildings holding thank-you signs and cheering on the first responders as they paraded through. Other students wrote cards to give to local first responders during the celebrations.
