Sachem High School East seniors Kyle Smith and Isabella Dembinski, along with Sachem High School North seniors JT Mankowich and Morgan Reitmann, were named the Suffolk Zone Award winners by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.

This Outstanding Physical Education Award honors high school seniors who are recognized as leaders in physical education and serve as role models to their peers. It is presented annually to the top male and female physical education leaders at each Suffolk County high school. Recipients of this award lead a healthy and physically active lifestyle, while demonstrating responsible behaviors such as good sportsmanship, character and citizenship.
