Students from Sachem High School East and North participated in the 2023 annual Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts Show at the Gillette House in Sayville. BAFFA brings fine arts to communities across Long Island.

Sachem North junior Anna D'Arcangelis won first place in the watercolor painting category for her piece “Into the Unknown.” Additional Sachem students won awards in the high school juried exhibition. From Sachem North, Jessica Ly was awarded second place in the watercolor painting category and Amira Sardar received an honorable mention. From Sachem East, Grace Prego won second place in the oil painting category.
