At the April 18 Sachem Central School District Board of Education meeting, several student-musicians were honored for performing in regional showcases and competitions.

Sachem Chairperson for Secondary Music Gerard Giglio introduced groups of musicians and applauded them for their participation in elementary and secondary Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association festivals, the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education conference and the Long Island String Festival Association performance. Additionally, some of the top Sachem student-musicians who participated in All-State, All-Eastern or All-National conferences were recognized.
