Festive Fun in Sachem

Three photos of students making ginger bread houses thumbnail238685

Our Sachem schools are in the holiday spirit! Across our buildings, students have been participating in festive, hands-on activities.

At Waverly Elementary School, second graders invited their families to join them to make gingerbread houses. Students used frosting to glue graham crackers to milk cartons. They decorated their houses with different kinds of candy and took them home to enjoy.

Nokomis Elementary School third graders also participated in holiday treat decorating. Principal Denise Kleinman first read the story, “Snowmen at Night” before students joined their family members to make gingerbread men.

The activities are gearing students up for the holidays and getting them excited about the upcoming break!
