Two Sachem High School North members of the varsity girls bowling team competed in a week-long national bowling tournament this July. Cira Arcangel and Emily Kulkarni traveled to Michigan to compete in the Junior Gold National Tournament. Both Cira and Emily qualified to compete in their age bracket alongside 600 of the top female bowlers in the nation and had tremendous success.

Cira, a junior, bowled more than 30 games in five days during the tournament, placing 20th out of 600 in the U-18 division comprised of high school juniors and seniors, as well as college freshmen and sophomores. Emily completed the tournament finishing 68 out of 600. This fall, she went off to Molloy University and is a member of the women’s bowling team.
