Sachem High School East students recently explored an eclectic assortment of future opportunities during the fifth annual Career Connection event hosted at Sachem High School East.

The event that was facilitated by business teacher William Ward and the Work Based Learning Club featured over 45 businesses and organizations and provided an opportunity for sophomores, juniors and seniors to speak with the more than 80 representatives present to learn about these different careers.

“I had the pleasure of going to the career event and I enjoyed this event and feel it had an impact on the way I view the careers available in my future,” said student Steven Azzara. “My eyes were opened to jobs I would have never thought of doing or even knew existed.”

Through this growing event, students could apply for internships and learn from the experts about industries they could explore as future career paths.
