Human Resources is the cornerstone of the district.  We view ourselves as one large family and place a strong emphasis on the “human” aspect of our work with personnel.  While the information and links provided highlight many of the areas we oversee, employees are always encouraged to contact the Personnel Office directly for assistance and guidance.  

The Personnel Office, also known as a Human Resources Department of the Sachem Central School District, provides ongoing support and service to approximately 3,000 employees each year.  Individuals employed by the District must be certificated employees recognized by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), non-instructional employees recognized by the Office of Civil Service or meet New York State employment regulations.  

Certificated individuals seeking information or employment are required to apply through the online application system (OLAS).  OLAS is the sole method for applying for certificated positions. Resumes and/or letters of interest submitted to the District via fax, email or paper copy are not accepted as part of the candidate review process. If you wish to be considered for a position you must ensure to apply using our online application system. The online system allows candidates to upload resumes, certifications, cover letters, letters of recommendation, and any other relevant information.
