The Suffolk County Police Department visited the Sachem Extended School Year program to engage with students and offer safety tips. Officer Slevin spoke with older students about internet safety and best practices when using social media. Younger students enjoyed touring a police vehicle and seeing firsthand the equipment police officers use when responding to an emergency.

The visit embraced the community partnership between Sachem schools and the police department while familiarizing students with an officer active in their own community.
