All-County Musicians in Sachem

The Sachem Central School District is proud to announce that 21 talented student-musicians from its two high schools have been selected by the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education to participate in the prestigious 2023 All-County Music Festival. The annual festival features the top musicians from across Suffolk County.

Acceptance into the NYSCAME All-County Ensembles is a high honor obtained only by the most talented and dedicated music students from across all of Suffolk County, which is perhaps the most competitive county in New York state when it comes to musical performance. As it is a prestigious festival, highly sought-after conductors from across the nation are selected to lead each ensemble. It is quite an honor for these students to work with such seasoned professionals.

The NYSCAME All-County Festival concert took place on Nov. 17 at Northport High School. The students had just three rehearsals during a week and a half to prepare for the event. The concert was a tremendous success due to the hard work of the students, their teachers, and their conductors. Sachem’s 21 participants are truly among the top student musicians in New York State.
