'Gratituesday’ at Sachem East

Sachem High School East’s third annual “Gratituesday” on Nov. 14 was the biggest student demonstration of gratitude to date! More than 200 students took time to stop by the building’s Wellness Station and express the things they were grateful for on decorative cards. The cards were then put together to form a “Gratitude Quilt,” highlighting unity and celebrating the practice of focusing on all we have to be thankful for.

Gratitude is the theme for November at High School East. Throughout the month, Project Happiness has organized activities for students to express their gratitude. In addition to Gratituesday, Project Happiness read thank you messages to teachers over the announcements and will participate in National Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28 by selecting a charity to raise donations for.
