Nokomis Elementary School fourth graders recently learned about the Iroquois and their way of life. After learning about culture, traditions and values, students created 3D models of Iroquois villages.

Their dioramas included longhouses, gardens and gathering spots. Students were tasked with displaying how the Iroquois benefitted from natural resources. The villages represented how the Iroquois settled in the northeast and were a way for students to visualize a part of Native American history.
