Sachem High School East students recently experienced the intricacies of heavy machine operation during a visit from The Learn Center in Ronkonkoma.

The visit facilitated by business teacher William Ward also introduced students to various careers available in the world of heavy machinery. As part of the visit, professionals from The Learn Center taught students about safety, unloading and transport of heavy machinery and also allowed students to operate a mini excavator.

Later this year, The Learn Center will visit Sachem High School North to share the same information with students there.
