Sachem East Football Players and Cheerleaders Bring Homecoming Spirit to Elementary Schools

Sachem East football players and cheerleaders brought homecoming spirit to the district’s youngest students this week, walking the halls of elementary schools in the high school’s feeder community.

The visits connected two generations of Sachem students during a week centered on school pride. For the high school student-athletes, the walks offered a chance to represent Sachem East and show younger students what they can become.

For the elementary children, seeing the “big kids” in their own hallways provided inspiration and a glimpse of what their future at Sachem could hold.

The simple gesture underscored the community connection behind homecoming, extending the celebration beyond the high school and giving younger students a chance to share in the excitement.

Sachem East will host Connetquot in its homecoming football game on Saturday at 3 p.m.
