Tamarac Makes History at NYSSMA Major Organization Festival

Congratulations to Tamarac’s outstanding 5th Grade Band and 5th Grade Orchestra for their remarkable performances at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Major Organization Festival held at Samoset Middle School.

Both ensembles impressed the adjudication panel with their musicality, technique, preparation, and performance. The 5th Grade Orchestra earned a prestigious Gold rating, while the 5th Grade Band achieved a Gold with Distinction rating, the highest honor awarded by NYSSMA.

These achievements mark the first time in Tamarac's history that either ensemble has earned these ratings. What an incredible accomplishment for our young musicians!
