Seneca Musicians Earn Top Honors at Connecticut Music Festival

The Seneca Middle School Music Department enjoyed a successful performance trip as the school's eighth-grade Chorus, Orchestra, and Band participated in the Trills and Thrills Music Festival in Connecticut.
The three ensembles traveled to Francis T. Maloney High School in Meriden, Connecticut, where they performed for a panel of music judges who evaluated their musicianship, balance, tone quality, performance technique, and intonation.
These areas are central to the students' musical development throughout the year, and their dedication was evident through consistent lesson attendance, focused rehearsals, and countless hours of practice.
The Seneca Music Department faculty, Mrs. Bellafatto, Mrs. Kant, and Mrs. Franz-Mele, are proud to announce that all three ensembles earned the festival's highest distinctions, receiving Excellent and Superior ratings.
Following the competition, students celebrated their achievement with a trip to Lake Compounce, where they enjoyed the amusement park's roller coasters and water attractions alongside faculty members and parent chaperones.
Congratulations to the members of the Chorus, Orchestra, and Band on this outstanding accomplishment. Their hard work, commitment to musical excellence, attention to detail, and dedication to continuous improvement resulted in a truly memorable and well-deserved success.
