Sachem East Retail & Fashion Students Bring Classroom Concepts to Life at Deer Park Outlets

Sachem East Students in Mrs. McDermott and Mrs. Cannetti’s Retail and Fashion Management class took learning beyond the classroom this March with a hands-on trip to the Deer Park Tanger Outlets.

From identifying store layouts to analyzing visual merchandising strategies, students explored how outlet malls are designed to attract and engage customers. It was a great opportunity to connect classroom concepts to real-world retail environments.

Even better, they enjoyed a beautiful day outside while gaining valuable industry insight. A great experience all around!
