Andrew Larson Named Deputy Superintendent of Sachem Central School District

LarsonThe Sachem Central School District Board of Education has announced the appointment of Andrew Larson as Deputy Superintendent, following his promotion from Assistant Superintendent for Student Support and Administration.

Larson brings 24 years of service, spanning a wide range of instructional and administrative leadership positions. His experience includes roles as Assistant Principal at Sachem High School East and Sachem High School North, as well as Principal of Hiawatha Elementary School, Sagamore Middle School, and Sachem North.

Throughout his career, Larson has been widely respected for his student-centered approach, collaborative leadership style, and deep understanding of the district’s schools, families, traditions, and community at large.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Sachem community in this role,” Larson said. “Sachem has been my professional home for more than two decades, and I am proud of the work we do every day to support students, staff, and families. I look forward to building on our strong foundation and continuing to work alongside our outstanding educators and administrators to ensure success for every student.”

Superintendent of Schools Patti Trombetta praised Larson’s leadership, vision, and long-standing commitment to the district.

“I am incredibly proud to work alongside Andy and thrilled to see him step into the role of Deputy Superintendent,” Trombetta said. “His vision, integrity, and steady leadership have had a profound impact on our schools. Andy brings a deep institutional knowledge, a clear focus on students, and a collaborative spirit that strengthens our entire district. His work ethic is unmatched. Sachem is better because of his leadership, and I am confident he will continue to help move our district forward.”

Larson’s appointment reflects the district’s continued emphasis on developing leaders from within and maintaining continuity in its mission to educate and empower all students.
