Sachem East’s own Dominick Marchitto is in the running for Youth Athlete of the Year in a national program sponsored by Sports Illustrated and the V Foundation, and the Sachem community is invited to rally behind him with their votes.

At just one year old, doctors told Dominick’s parents he would not walk normally. Today, he’s defied every projection, overcoming significant physical challenges to become one of Sachem East’s most versatile student-athletes. He’s a rare four-sport competitor for the Arrows, suiting up in soccer, football (as the team’s kicker), track & field, and lacrosse.

Dominick’s story is a testament to perseverance, discipline, and the power of community support. On the field and in the locker room, he’s known for his work ethic and team-first mindset—qualities that exemplify what this national recognition is designed to celebrate.
