Katie Healy

 Katie Healy

Ms. Katie Healy is one of our Elementary School Counselors for the Sachem Central School District. This position encompasses working with students kindergarten through fifth grade within the district. In this role, Ms. Healy strives to provide students with a comprehensive and effective school counseling program through in-direct and direct counseling services. Her program follows the guidelines of the ASCA National Model and aligns accordingly with the missions of the NYS DOE, the Sachem Central School District, and the Sachem Central School District Guidance Plan.

Our counseling program consists of weekly guidance lessons on academic success, career/college readiness, and personal/social development. In addition, Ms. Healy meets with students individually and in small group settings to provide support in all areas of their lives. Ms. Healy works closely with the school social workers and psychologists in each school to assist in providing all students a safe, kind, and inclusive environment.

Katie received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pace University, and a Master of Science in Education from New York Institute of Technology. Katie is a Certified School Counselor through New York State. In her free time, Katie enjoys being outside, going to the beach, and photography.



Justin Morales

Justin Morales

Mr. Justin Morales is our Elementary School Counselor for the east feeder schools of the Sachem Central School District. Working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade, Mr. Morales focuses on social-emotional initiatives through in-direct and direct counseling services as well as classroom lessons. His program follows the guidelines of the ASCA National Model and aligns accordingly with the missions of the NYS DOE, the Sachem Central School District, and the Sachem Central School District Guidance Plan.

Our counseling program consists of weekly guidance lessons on academic success, career/college readiness, and personal/social development. In addition, Mr. Morales meets with students individually, in small group settings, as well as peer mediation to provide support in all areas of their lives. Mr. Morales works closely with the school social workers and psychologists in each school to assist in providing all students a safe, kind, and inclusive environment.

Mr. Morales received a Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY Old Westbury, and a Master of Science in School Counseling from Long Island University’s nationally accredited program by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Mr. Morales is also a little league baseball coach who takes his fun-loving approach on the field to the classroom.
