Sachem High School East students taking French visited Sagamore Middle School on Nov. 2 to celebrate National French Week. High School students set up a gallery walk and presented francophone customs and traditions to sixth graders.

East students spoke with the middle schoolers about traditional holidays such as la Toussaint, le Saint Nicolas, le Noel, le Saint Sylvestre, Mardi Gras, le Saint Valentin and la Chandeleur. Sixth graders answered trivia questions and played games for prizes. They also enjoyed some delicious crepes, a popular dish served during La Chandeleur, and listened to popular French music.
