The Sachem Central School District helped families prepare for the school year with a backpack giveaway. Costco donated 300 backpacks to the district to be distributed to students. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Christopher Pellettieri, Deputy Superintendent Patricia Trombetta and Administrator for Guidance and College and Career Counseling Dr. Kevin Miller greeted families and wished them a great school year as they picked up the backpacks on Sept. 5.

The district thanks Costco for its generous donation and Jamie Durkin, a speech language pathologist at Sachem High School North, for helping organize the giveaway.
