The Board of Education recently accepted a donation of 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for K-12 students from the Sachem Youth Advisory Group. The backpacks and supplies were then distributed to each of the school buildings and handed out to families.

SYAG also donated 20 backpacks full of school supplies, as well as additional secondary school supplies, during the Welcome to Sachem event on Aug. 17, where new Sachem students were introduced to the district and its resources.

The district thanks SYAG for its continued partnership and for helping set students up for success ahead of the school year.
