During its Aug. 16 meeting, the Sachem Central School District’s Board of Education honored both individual student-athletes and teams. Director of Athletics, Physical Education, Health and Health Services Gary Beutel introduced several individuals who celebrated accomplishments during the spring athletic season.

Student-athletes from both Sachem High Schools were recognized for their various post-season athletic honors in their respective sports including All-County designations and higher.

Following the individual recognitions, the baseball team and girls track team from Sachem High School East were recognized. The Sachem High School East boys baseball team was a three-time league champion, and the girls track team was named county champions. Additionally, the Sachem High School North girls softball team was honored as three-time league champions, and the combined girls golf team was recognized as three-time league champions.
