Sachem East’s Sports & Entertainment Management classes hit the road this week for an unforgettable, behind-the-scenes tour of MetLife Stadium — the home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets — in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Students explored what it takes to operate one of the world's busiest and most recognized multi-purpose sports venues. Stadium staff guided them through the complex day-to-day operations, highlighting everything from event logistics and facility management to marketing, fan experience, and revenue generation.

As part of the experience, students learned about the enormous operating costs associated with running a first-class professional venue, including staffing, security, maintenance, technology, and hospitality operations. They also gained insight into the business strategies used to attract major sporting events, concerts, and global entertainment productions.
The visit provided a real-world connection to their coursework, offering a deeper understanding of the sports and entertainment industry and the teamwork required to bring large-scale events to life.
