Lynwood Elementary Students Raise $1,800 for Breast Cancer Awareness
Lynwood Avenue Elementary School students, staff, and families came together in a powerful show of support for breast cancer awareness, raising an impressive $1,800 for the North Fork Breast Health Coalition.
The fundraiser was significant this year, as one of the organization’s Board of Directors is former Sachem principal Ms. Hayes, making the effort a heartfelt way to “help one of our own.”
Through the sale of ribbon tattoos, pink hair extensions, and t-shirts, the Lynwood community rallied around an important cause, demonstrating the true spirit of compassion, teamwork, and giving back.
Their efforts not only raised vital funds for the coalition’s work supporting individuals affected by breast cancer but also reminded everyone of the power of community when people unite for good.
