Let's all wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE this Friday, June 13th to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Army in 1775 and adoption of the stars and stripes of the flag of the United States in 1777. Saturday, June 14th is a day to honor and show respect for the flag and the values it represents, such as liberty, freedom, strength and unity. Flag Day is a patriotic occasion that encourages citizens to show their pride in the United States and its values. Flag day is nationally recognized as a day of observance with many communities holding parades, ceremonies, and other events.
Also, the US Army's 250th birthday celebration will take place on Saturday, June 14th in Washington, DC. This parade will honor the sacrifices, achievement and true Spirit of American warriors in our oldest of the six branches of the United States Armed Forces. Saturday, June 14th marks the anniversary of the Army's official establishment which was on June 14th 1775!
So let's be sure to display our American patriotic spirit this Friday, June 13th. REMEMBER THIS FRIDAY….WEAR RED, WHITE AND BLUE! Let’s close out the school year in our best red, white and blue!
