NYS Universal Free Meals Program

Thanks to new legislation and funding from New York State, all students are eligible to receive one complete breakfast and one complete lunch each school day at no cost.

No application is necessary, but all families are asked to complete the Household Income Survey (English) (Spanish) to be sure that funding for this program continues.

While there is no application needed for your child to receive free meals, it is essential that all families complete the Household Income Benefit Form. This form will be used to collect information that is vital to continue the district's eligibility under CEP moving forward and to determine government funding for many other programs here at Sachem.
