At the April 3 meeting of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education, some of the district’s best and youngest musicians were honored. The Board and administrators celebrated the fifth and sixth graders who were accepted into the SCMEA Division I Festival for band, chorus or orchestra. These students were selected based on their NYSSMA scores from last school year. At the SCMEA Division I Festival, Sachem students performed with the top musicians from across Suffolk County.
