Sachem North Students Compete in Annual DECA Competition

Sachem High School North DECA students recently competed in the Suffolk County Regional Competition and had 16 students qualify for the New York State DECA Competition.

Twenty-nine students from Sachem High School North competed in our annual DECA Regional Competition, where students registered to compete in various categories such as Apparel and Accessories Marketing, Business Management and Administration, Business Services Marketing, Financial Analysis, Hospitality Management, Marketing Management, Quick Serve Restaurant, and Sports and Entertainment Management.

The following students placed first in Suffolk County for their competition:

John Mankowich and Niko Ginis – Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making

Taryn Wilcken – Human Resources Management

The following students placed second in Suffolk County for their competition:

Sonya Bacha – Food Marketing

The following students placed third in Suffolk County for their competition:

Ave Rush and Aman Ratoo – Travel and Tourism Management Team Decision Making

The following students placed fourth in Suffolk County for their competition:

Tricia Block – Apparel and Accessories Marketing

Nathaniel Stuber – Business Finance

Nooran Khan and Kaitlyn Seitz – Buying and Merchandise Management Team Decision Making
