In recognition of the Sachem communities first responders, students and staff at Chippewa Elementary School recently gathered to thank local heroes for their commitment to keeping our communities safe.

As part of the celebratory event, students completed several activities learning about the work first responders do to keep people safe and created cheerful thank-you cards and notes showing their appreciation, which were handed out to those in attendance.
