Bosch did no self portraits nor was there a record of his life because in those day's the people didn't keep records. His grandfather, father, his three uncles, and his brother were all professional painters with the last name of Van Aken. Bosch changed his real name, Jerome Van Aken, to Hieronymus Bosch.

The names of these different pictures are Lust, Gluttony, Head of an Old Women, The Stone Operation, The Ship of Fools, Death of the Miser, and the ascent into the Empyrean. 

             Bosch's The Temptation of St. Anthony. These pictures include saints. There called, St John in the Wilderness, St Jerome at prayer, St James and the Magician, Flight and Failure of St Anthony, St Anthony and the Devil Queen, Christ Carrying The Cross, The Repentant Thief, The Head of Christ, Taunting the Bad Thief, St Veronica, Christ Crowned with Thorns, The Wayfarer, and Ploughman Unhorsed by Devil.
