Mrs. Carlen has been a Middle School counselor in Sachem for 23 years and has been at Samoset since its opening.  She is involved in Samoset’s Character Education program, Renaissance Student of the Month, Samoset Cares and has advised various clubs and activities throughout her career.   Mrs. Carlen is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton and Fordham University.  Her hobbies include boating, camping, traveling and spending time with her husband and 3 daughters.  She is involved in many community service projects in both the Sachem and Wading River communities.
