The Sagamore English Department encourages students to develop a love of literature, a love that relates to one’s own life as well as to the values of society. We teach tolerance of other’s differences and perspectives in addition to an intense focus on improving reading and writing skills which are essential to success inside and outside of the classroom. We encourage each student to take pride in his/her work and to strive to reach his/her potential. Please note: The curriculum overviews presented here are provided to give students and parents a glimpse of what may be covered throughout the course of the year. Changes may be made at the discretion of the teacher in order to best suit the needs of a particular class. |
