Mr. Raymond Connolly - rconnolly@sachem.edu

Mrs. Beth Farber - bfarber@sachem.edu

The 2011-2012 school year is Mrs. Farber's eighth year at Sachem North.  Mrs. Farber graduated from Rollins College with a B.A. in computer science.  While she was completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a Resident Assistant and later a Hall Director at Rollins, which inspired her to work with students in the counseling field.  Thus, she later earned her master's degree in School Counseling from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus and now thoroughly enjoys her position as a high school counselor at Sachem North.

Mrs. Christine Launer - clauner@sachem.edu

Mrs. Launer graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.  Upon graduation, she continued her post secondary education at the CW Post campus of Long Island University.  Here she earned a Master's degree in School Counseling.  While earning her degree she worked as a Special Education Teacher's Assistant at Oyster Bay Junior/Senior High School.  Then in 2004, Mrs. Launer was thrilled to have joined the North family and enjoys very much working with the students of Sachem.  She would like to wish all of her students a wonderful and successful school year!!

Mrs. Jennifer Conti - jconti@sachem.edu

Mrs. Jen Conti has been a counselor here at Sachem North for the past twelve years, but has been a member of the Sachem family for most of her educational life, beginning in kindergarten at Gatelot Elementary and ending with 12th grade, here at North.  Mrs. Conti earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue and received her Master's of Science Degree in School Counseling from LIU CW Post.  Before returning to Sachem, Mrs. Conti was an admissions counselor at St. Joseph's College for 6 years, where she advised incoming college students on the programs available at St. Joseph’s for both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.  Presently, Mrs. Conti is the advisor of Sachem North’s Chapter of the National Honor Society and the advisor of the Senior Banquet, two positions that enable Mrs. Conti to work with students in the entire junior and senior class.

Mr. William Cody - wcody@sachem.edu

Mrs. Deana Huisman - dhuisman@sachem.edu

Mrs. Huisman is a proud alumnus of Sachem High School who loves being a member of the North staff.  Before returning to her roots, she earned a Bachelor's degree at St. Joseph's College where she majored in Psychology and minored in Philosophy.  Upon graduation, she attended Long Island University where she earned a Master's degree in School Counseling.  While pursuing her graduate degree, Mrs. Huisman worked as a substitute teacher at Sachem South and also as a Graduate Assistant in the programming office at Long Island University.  Mrs. Huisman began her career as a 9-10 school counselor at Sachem South.  In addition, she was a co-advisor of the Zenith Honor Society.  She also worked as a junior high school counselor at Seneca where she coordinated the Peer Tutoring Club.  After counseling students in grades 7-10, Mrs. Huisman chose to broaden her experience as a 9-12 high school counselor.   She truly enjoys working with students in all grade levels.  She values her job as a counselor, and looks forward to spending the "high school years" with her students.  Mrs. Huisman wishes each of her students a happy and successful year!!

Mr. Kurt Baumiller - kbaumiller@sachem.edu

Mr. Ed Manly - emanly@sachem.edu

A Sachem Alumnus, Mr. Manly started his professional career when he graduated from Long Island University-Southampton College with a B.A in Psychology.  Soon after, he obtained a Masters Degree from Long Island University’s C.W Post campus in School Counseling.  He is extremely excited to be a part of the wonderful tradition and immensely supportive community that Sachem North provides.  Mr. Manly hopes that this school year proves to be one that is successful and enjoyable for everyone here at North.  Outside the guidance office you can find Mr. Manly patrolling the sidelines of the basketball courts and lacrosse fields as he serves as a coach for the JV boys’ basketball team, as well as the Varsity girls’ lacrosse team.

Mrs. Carolyn Roell (Special Education) - croell@sachem.edu

Mrs. Carolyn Roell is a graduate of the State University College at Oneonta.  For two years after graduation, Mrs. Roell served as an admissions counselor at her alma mater.  After leaving that position, Mrs. Roell secured her Master of Science degree in College and Agency Counseling from Plattsburgh State University.  While at Plattsburgh, Mrs. Roell worked as a residence hall director in addition to performing a full-time  counseling internship at Clinton Community college.  Upon leaving Plattsburgh, Mrs. Roell worked at Hofstra University in the residential life office for one year.  During this time, Mrs. Roell realized that she wanted to become a New York State certified School Counselor.  Mrs. Roell then enrolled as a student in the Professional Diploma in School counseling program at Hofstra.  While attending Hofstra as a student, Mrs. Roell worked as a teacher assistant at Sachem South High School with a wonderful and talented young man named Luis.  While working with Luis, Mrs. Roell realized that her passion for counseling focused upon students enrolled in special education.

Mrs. Lauren Angiporti - langiporti@sachem.edu

Mrs. Angiporti is extremely proud to be a member of the Sachem North team.  Prior to North, Mrs. Angiporti graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, where she also captained the Lady Eagles Softball team.  After working in the fields of media and marketing, while also coaching youth softball, Mrs. Angiporti returned to her true career passion by earning a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus.  She then worked in several Suffolk County School Districts as a Prevention Specialist for SNAP Long Island, a non-profit youth development agency in Suffolk County.  As a counselor for the freshman class, she would like to send a warm welcome all of her new students in the class of 2015!
