Dan Ferencsik is a former Sachem North student who graduated this past June. Dan was born with spinal muscular atrophy and he is wheelchair-bound. He recently began his college education at Farmingdale State College, traveling in his wheelchair-accessible van. On Sunday m orning, a drunk driver crashed into Dan's van causing it to go up in flames. Dan is now forced to take a county van, resulting in a 1-3 hour trip compared to the normal 1/2 hour. We are asking Sachem North students to come together in support of Dan and donate pocket change to help him and his family. We know any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be collected in your English class.
