Want to help us wake Sachem North up? Have ideas you would like to see brought to our school? Then consider running for office!!! The elections for Class and Student Government are upon us! If you are a born leader and are interested in running for an office position in either Student Government, Sophomore Class, Junior Class, or Senior Class, whether it be President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, or Event Coordinator, please pick up an informational packet in D217. Letter and petition are due no later than May 12. Good luck to all interested in running for office! It is time to bring new ideas to Sachem North, and it starts with you!

Attention Seniors: Senior Class clothing is finally here and available in our senior room or with Mrs. Riegger in A217 and Mrs. Glasser in D112. Check out our T-Shirts, long tees, hoodies and sweats outside of our Senior Room. Come on Seniors, make this a great year! You're kind of a big deal!

Attention students: Volunteer applications for the Sachem Extended School Year program are now available in the Guidance Office. Please note that these applications are for the volunteer experience only. There are limited applications, so please pick up an application before we run out. Applications are open to current 9th through 11th grade students only.

Sachem North's SGA's Second Spirit Week! Seniors! It's your last one so make it count! Monday, May 23 is Miscellaneous Mashup. Any of your favorite spirit week events -- select from Pajama Day, Nerd Day, Wacky Workout, or Country Club. Tuesday, May 24 is Tropical Tuesday! Hawaiian attire and luau themed! Hopefully the weather will improve for this one! Wednesday, May 25 is Way Back Wednesday and Thursday is Patriot Day -- support your country by wearing red, white, and blue; dress as your favorite hero and show respect! We will be joined by the US Marines. Keep it classy!

The 66th annual Long Island Science Congress Awards were held this week. Congratulations to Science Research Sophomores: Rachel Accurso and Angelina Franqueiro for earning the distinction of "Honors" at the science competition this year.

All performers for Culture Day please see or email Dr. Scricco today. Library during 4th, 5th and 6th and 8th periods. Also, all permissions slips are due today during HR. Please bring them to the library now. Final preparations need to be made.

There will be a mandatory assembly for all Juniors and guests attending the Junior Cruise on May 31 during a free period 1-9 in the Little Theatre. This is a mandatory assembly if you are going on the trip.
